Hello all. I just bought a 1992 johnson 40hp tracker motor yesterday. I got the cables, controls and wire ( with round red plug on one end and a square clear plug on other end with one red and 2 black wires stripped on tbe ends) with it. I am used to old outboards that have the key cylinder built in and you just basically hook up a battery to the system. I'm a little confused on this newer setup though. Do I need to buy positive and negative battery cables and hook them up to motor somewhere? Also... do I just buy any Johnson push choke key cylinder for this setup or is it a certain one? I found some for $20 online but don't know if they are the correct one. Any help is appreciated as to what exactly I need to order...thanks!

Also should mention this has power trim and oil injection is bypassed if either of those makes a difference...thanks!

Thanks! What about the other end of the red plug wire though? It's just a clearish box plug with 3 stripped wires also coming out of the big loom near the box plug. I don't know what to buy or where to hook up to add a key switch and power trim button.

Here are the controls. I see the trim buttons on the end of the shift lever but there is no plug or wiring behind the controls to run to the trim unit.
