your idle is set too low. there is no backpressure on the exhaust, when run on muffs. your idle has the be fine tuned with the boat in the water and the motor in gear. as low as you can get it and it still go into gear without stalling.

You probably have one or more cylinders that are not working.

Two stroke engines will run fine (on muffs) on just a couple, with no backpressure (in water).

Start the basic diagnostics and see which of the four are not pullin there weight.

1. Compression check.

2. Spark Check.

3. Fuel.

ALL CYLINDERS ARE 120-125 COMPRESSION ,EVERYONE IS EXACTLY THE SAME PRESURE,SPARK IS GREAT ON ALL

You have a QuikStart sytem, which advances the timing when the engine is below 96 degrees F.

Normally QuikStart, combined with holding the key in while cranking to enrich the fuel in the firing chambers, should get you started.

You may want to check that the QuikStart advance is working; it will reset to normal advance when the engine warms up, or if the RPM reaches 1100, whichever comes first.
