Does anyone have a diagram or other visual of the typical water drainage system in Bayliner 20' capris, or something in that era. I obviously know how it travels from the bow, thru the Ski locker and then beneath the gas tank to the engine compartment deck. But, is there any other "drainage system" in the gas tank enclosure, etc.
I am re-doing the floor in my 91 21 footer Capri and although the foam is dry on both sides, I did see that as I lifted the front of the biat up real high, there was standing water atop the gas tank. Since about 6 inches of the gas tank extends into the engine area (allowing for the hose hookups) I find it hard to believe that there is no drainage system from the gas tank enclosure....but I don't see any?
++ This was after a real hard cleaning with a water hose inside, knowing that I was going to rip out the carpet and floor. Bottom line is if water does get into the sides with the foam...can it escape or does it just sit there?
