The warning horn won't go off after engine has been off for an extended time.I don't think it was ever overheated to begin with.It maintains good water pressure and never seemed to be excessively hot.Acts completely normal, except warning horn will not go off.Water circulation seems normal also. My question is, even if it overheated, shouldn't the horn reset itsef?

Re: 90hp Mercury Tracker

I repaired an earlier 90HP Merc not long ago that had the over heat alarm sounding all the time..According to the manual's test the sender proved to be bad..A new sender made the system work OK for a while but the horn started its thing again...A new horn and everthing was good for a year or so...The manual says its probably the module....I think they are a great big pain..I mean how did we ever get along without them.???...

Thanks for that info,I'll probably get a good manual and attack it this week. That adds a little weight to my theory.Any suggestions on a good motor manual?<br />Thanks
