90 or 120 evinrude

Well i bought this motor yesterday,it was annaunsed as a 90hp. When i came home,i read be120tlco on id sign outside tilt unit. There is no nr on those cirkled downsunked id chips around on block. Does 90hp cover and 120hp one fits eachother?

All i can say that it sounds much more responsive and louder than my 85esl73m.

Its a 1985 120hp small bore looper and no cowling from a crossflow and looper will not interchange...

Ok.cover has 90hp on it,and id sign says 120hp. Its fresh and runs very well.

Better to have gone that way then to have thought it was a 120 and gotten a 90............ Unless your boat tag doesn't call for a 120hp
