I have a 2001 Johnson Ocean Runner 90 hp that was running fine on the hose. Then after 5 min would not start or trim. Depth finder has power and battery connections are good. I have power at the motor, but can not trace it to a fuse. The trim switch on the side of the motor does not have power. Is there a relay or fuse that could be bad?
Thanks

There should be a 20A fuse on the motor, near the starter solenoid. Of course, something is likely causing it to blow. I would look over wiring on motor. Look for a wire rubbing some metal, and then shorting.

I had a melted harness on the port side of the motor, next to where the boat harness plugs into the motor harness. The melted part was the boat harness, vs the motor harness. I also had melted wires at the dashboard where the wires connect to the gauges. I never did figure out what caused it, and I bought the boat that way.
