I recently purchased this boat and motor and was wondering what year the engine is # e9otlcte. Also the engine appears to run fine, but there seems to be cooling water streaming out of the foward portion-v-notch area of the lower unit, just above the ex-haust housing. It doesn't do it all the time, mostly at mid rpm levels. The p-stream indicator is normal, and the engine temperature also normal, if not a bit cool. If I clog the exhaust holes with my fingers, it forces more water out of said area. Is this normal?

Thanks for the quick reply. How hard is it to replace the base gasket? Do you need to pull the power head or drop the lower unit? Am I harming the engine by using it-it seems unaffected.
