I own a 1989 88hp rude that has been refered to as a 90 degree engine. Will someone please explain what this means and what effect it has on power and speed?

Re: 90 degree engine

It means the cylinders are 90* from each other on the centerline of the crank. There are many designs. 90*, 72*, 76*, 60* and so on. Its only one part of the performance puzzle.
