9.9 WOT issues

My 2016 9.9hp starts and idles fine. At aproximately 1/2 throttle to wot the motor suddenldly stops. I can keep running with choke out . Before this issue began the motor has worked fine for years.
I have disconnected the fuel line going to the carburetor and the fuel pump seems fine. Any suggestions would be helpful at this point.

Do you store the motor with fuel left in the carburetor?
