Going to give it a try this weekend weather permtting. I have a tach on the way and will wait to try it out if it does not show up before the weekend. What would be max RPM's not to exceed on this motor? Thanks guys

You might and i stress might be able to have the prop reworked to a 21p
and cut down to 13'' diameter and be in the acceptable rpm range of
your motor if your maximize your setup. The lower pitch and smaller diameter should get the boat on plane faster. But this is all guessing until you get some
rpms readings. Your probably going to be better off selling your prop and buying another, you could probably get $150-200 on ebay for it. I have a 16'
tinny that weighs 700lbs. with an older merc 85hp and it pushes my boat
~37mph no tach but on a calculator with an estimated slip of 12-15% that should be about 5000rpms. This is with a 13x21p prop. And I think your LU
gear ratio is the same as mine 2.3:1.
