NEW TO FORUM LOOKING FOR HELP ON MY 89 100HP MARINER.Motor will seem to misfire like 1 or more plugs are fouled. If I remove plugs and wipe them off, then crank motor with plugs removed and reinstall then typically motor will run fine. Failure is more prevalent if motor has been sitting unused for a period of time( couple of days or more) but has failed after running for awhile then off for only a couple hours. Once it has started and "cleaned out " motor runs perfectly. I completely drained the fuel tank and refilled with fresh fuel this spring b4 putting in the water. Fuel pump rebuild last summer (for this problem). Spark plugs have been replaced several times. Quicksilver 2 cycle oil.Motor will always start. I think it is the two lower jugs that misfire/ foul.
