Can anyone help me with finding a lift ring for an 89 force 50? Or tell me what threads I would need to match for the center bolt that sticks up out of the center of the flywheel of one? Pretty please? I need a hero!

I can't find the part# for the lift ring.
The 50 needs a smaller lift ring than the bigger motors.
I used piece of 1 1/4x 1/8 x 4"flat stock.
Drilled 2, 3/4" hole 1/2" from the end and then bent it 90d.
Then removed the flywheel nut, installed the new lift bracket, replaced the nut, then lifted the powerhead off.

Different motor but I used a flywheel puller I got on loan from Auto Zone.

Thanks I might try that.

Found a guy on eBay selling that flywheel nut. He said the thread pitch was 17x1.5mm. have yet to translate that into a lift ring, so feel free to chime in if you're in the know.:)

In have one.
If you don't get an answer, I'll take it to Home Depot and get the threads measured and post on here tomorrow.

I bought a nut to fit my 90 hp Sport Jet and welded a steel strap loop from one side to the other.

Took the lift ring to Home Depot.
They had nothing to match the threads to.
The parts list says 3/4-16 F-1968 part#
It's the same for the 50-85-120 125- 150

Just a hint here. If you get one of the cheaper pullers make sure you have a good fit for the bolts. Swapping whatever is in the kit for grade 8 bolts would be a good idea, along with grade 8 washers.
Also get a tap to clean out the threads so that you can get full engagement.
Don't take a chance of a cheap bolt stripping the threads out in the flywheel!
Ask how I know that this is an bad thing.

Cheapo tools= crappy results.
The 1/4=20 threads already cut into the flywheel, often times they pull out as soon as you apply pressure. Tapping to the next size makes a big difference.
One thing I found was using a torch and apply heat direct to the crankshaft end.
Then a 3# hammer on the puller.
