89 Force 50 HP Presolite T/T valve body leak

I have an old Presolite T/T valve body that has a fluid leak around one of the hydraulic lines. My question is can these fitting ports be reamed out so the threads will seal tight? If not, is there a sealant that will seal the leak? Thanks guys.

Just a reminder, it is not the thread on the coupling that is providing the seal to these hyd lines. Instead, it is the flared copper tubing that is pulled against the valve body that provides the seal. I could be wrong but as far as I can see the hyd lines are flared and are supposed to go against the "bellowed" connectors on the valve body. Now if the thread is stripped and does not allow to compress the flared tube against the valve body, then you might want to check if it's the flare nut or the male flare fitting is stripped.

Back when RRitt (RIP) was fixing these pumps he mentioned re-tapping the port if the threads were buggered.
Maybe someone has the info on doing that procedure?
If one of the ports need fixing this might help?

Always remember this rule of thumb when reconnecting these lines, ALWAYS MAKE SURE OPPOSITE END IS THREADED IN LOOSELY TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE WIGGLE TO PROPERLY ALIGN THE THREADS ON THE OTHER END. These are stiff lines that has very little to no wiggle at all when tightened on either end. As mentioned, you will have to re-tap but you need a bottoming (bottomless) tap.

Thanks guys, I found a boat shop this morning that thinks he can retap the threads. And Skipper, it is a good point to remember when connecting the hydraulic lines to the valve body, that you loosen the all fittings so there is some movement of the entire line and that all fittings are finger tight before using a wrench to tighten down the lines. I appreciate your comments and assistance. :)

Keep us informed about the progress of the re-tap.
Thanks
Well the "so-called" tap was nothing more than what he wanted to do was retap the threads to the next size up and then add a coupling. But to this would completely alter the oil line configuration. I informed I was not ready to do such a radical modification, yet. So I left with still having a problem. So I am going to seal it with Loctite 545 sealant. I'll let you know if it works.

Don't think any kind of sealer will do the job. Like Jiggs said, the seal is made by the flared line being pulled tight onto the valve body. My experience with these lines is that those fittings have to be torqued down pretty good to make a good seal. If you get in a bind, I have an old valve body laying around that might work for you.....it has no check valves in it but is in good shape.
PM me if interested.....

Ok guys, here is my issue as I stated before I tried the Chinese T/T motor and pump... failure. Then I tried an old Force T/T motor and pump (i.e. valve body) which worked great but the primary ram oil line leaks around the threads (see pic of threads; highlighted). Topgun did have an old Chrysler valve body with missing check valves, which are retained by snap rings. However, my Force valve body is a different type with threaded check valves (see pic). So I'm asking if anyone has any idea what I can do without purchasing an entire T/T assembly?

The storm at my place was very minimal( Thanks G)
Other people lost docks, piers and some boats.
But still way better than it could have been.
Lots of branches and leaves and blown garbage.
I had a 6 - 8f branch on my porch, that was the worst.
THANKS for the thoughts.
I'll look for the parts, not sure I have anything left??
I give away a bunch of parts and not sure what's left.
