Unable to figure out how to disconnect shift shaft in order to drop lower unit. this motor does not look like the one in the SELOC manual.the manual says " disconnect the plug wires then do the same to the shift shaft. cannot find any connection near the motor for the shaft. Do you have to drop the shroud over the drive shaft etc.first ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Note: The stick -on model no., etc. is missing-- A marine repair shop got the approximate model yr. from their microfish- they're a good distance from me- thus this request The motor is black.
