Hey everyone,

The problem im having is when I connect the fuel line to the motor the fuel pump fills up and leaks gas everwhere. I dont need to pump the bulb at all, it just fills automatically and spills out of the fuel pump. I have to keep the lnes disconnected at all times.

The fuel tank im using is pressurized (i assume) 25 L . i also have a VRO oil injection system connected.

i was wondering if the pump is doing this or the fuel line is doing it and how to maybe correct this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

sounds like your fuel tank is becomming pressurized due to the vent being plugged via bugs or corrosion, the heat from the sun or shaking could cause the pressure, try removing the fill cap to the fuel tank and determine if the pressure stops,it should,as to why the fuel pump would be leaking,I can only conclude that the high pressure has caused a diaphram to fail inside the vro pump

thanks mikesea,

ill check the cap and see if the problem still persists.

i forgot to mention i bought this boat fri and it was fine when i looked at it. this problem occured about 7 hours later after i was playing with the tilt/trim and i moved the gas tank location.

if the diaphram has failed inside the vro pump is this "self fixing" once the pressure is released or do I have to replace the diaphram.

cheers
