first is the distributer, i have the breaker plate off and while holding the gear at the bottom and trying to spin the lobes it moves in either direction but gets stuck. my question is i have a stumble and miss. the timing isnt steady it moves around from 18-22, w.o.t. runs fine no miss i notice nothing, 2500 and lower it misses and its getting worse. i have gone over and replaced cap rotor plugs wires adjusted points to .019 from .010(made it worse) checked condenser and rebuilt the carb and checked timing marks from tdc to cam (cam in the center notch). any other options or should i try and find a distributer? and second question is i pulled the plugs and its very hard to turn the crank acts like the plugs are still in. it will spin fine comes to a certain point and stops i back the crank up a quarter inch and try again it spins freely any ideas on that? it doesnt sound like a valve is hitting when its running, are they just tight motors with heavy valve springs or what??
