Got my manual, oem manual, was reading on the maintenance/out of season storage section,, said to run the motor at a low rpm, 1200 rpm's, disconnect fuel and let it run till it stalls, out of gas,,
I've always heard and believed you didn't run multi-carb engines out of fuel because the top carb would run out of fuel first while the bottom carb stayed fueling turning the motor, which meant the upper cylinders weren't being oiled, I would like to think this is OK since the OEM people say it is, would should help with the shut down and carb problems because of the stinking ethanol.
Going to try and fire it up tomorrow, here's hoping everything goes good.
Oh yeah, one more, does the motor have to be in a tank or on boat in the water to set the final adjustment to the carbs, I think it's for the back pressure I've heard,,,, or can they be set just keeping the motor on muffs?
Thanks,
