Hello, I have an old pontoon I need to eventually sell with a 1988 Evinrude 60hp outboard, but have to get running first. That's the tricky part... some history. She sat for 2 years when I went over the road for work an this past summer I knew better than to just start it with old gas, so I put some fresh in a can an tried to start it. Nope. Ok, did some trouble shooting an ended up at the carburetors. Rebuilt them cuz they were full of nasty green residue as expected. Rebuilt carbs and put all new lines on an got it to fire off. But it doesn't want to run very well. It ran on its own for a bit this summer, but now that I have the opportunity to sell it, it's kinda hard to get it to pop over an once it does, it just dies unless you hold in the electric choke. So it acts like it's not quite getting enough gas. An I had put stabil and ethenol free gas in it before I left it this summer. Bout to pull my hair out on it. Any help would be much appreciated.
