88 50hp johnson lucas lower unit oil

Was at local auto parts store and was wondering if the lucas m8 marine oil is okay to use in lower unit. Thats the only kind of marine gear oil they had. Sorry this is my first boat and I'm finally almost ready to run it

Is there a better cost effective alternative? Does walmart sell marine oil

Yes I believe they sell Quicksilver sae 80W-90 Premium gear lube and Super tech 80W-90 marine gear lube. Why not look at the website ?
