I went to start the motor up this season and it would not turn over. I removed the starter and replaced it due to it being in horrible shape. Now the motor was turning over but would not fire. I checked, cleaned, and gapped the points and replaced the spark plugs and now I have spark but it wont fire. The firing order is correct and I have a remote ignition switch on the coil and on the starter which allows me to bypass the neutral safety. I am putting starter fluid in the carb as well as using fresh fuel. The next step is a compression test but can anybody think of anything else? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
