87 25hp air box

can anyone please help i have an 87 25hp johnson it seems it has no airbox does this also mean it has no air filter

Don't know about airbox/silencer but outboards don't have air filters because they generally don't run in dusty air over lakes and rivers.

My 1991 25HP has nothing....just the carb throat. That's the way they were built!
