86 or 87 30hp loses prime

86 or 87 30hp johnson loses prime, when it is dying if i squeeze the bulb it will pick up. rebuilt fuel pump changed all fuel lines and conectors. i need help

IS the tank connector working properly? Are all the clamps tight on the fuel lines?

Is your tank vent free and clear? Does it still require priming if the cap is left loose?

yes i replaced the conector on the fuel tank and the vent is open.

really sounds like a fuel pump, of stuck float needle in the carb, not allowing fuel in until you force it with the bulb.
