i have an 86 evinrude 60 vro . runs great with the hose but when i put it in the water it dies when i put it in gear

Look for idle mix out of adjustment,restricted fixed orifices in carburetors ,or link and synch out of adjustment.You have already been advised on this engine problem some days ago.The answers will be the same yet may vary slightly.If you plan to perform this troubleshooting and adjust procedures you need to either be familiar with the procedures or secure the use of a factory manual for guidance.

The previous post is probably right. <br /><br />I've had a similsr problem occur to me and this is what I troubleshooted:<br />The engine may sound and run great when there is no laad but here are 2 things you should check out: <br />1-Make sure each cylinder is recieving a spark<br />2-Make sure there is no water in your gas
