sorry no before shots. basically everything you see white was covered with blue carpet that was ageing badly so i decided to do it this way, it make it easier to clean after a long day on the water.

Sometimes usable and fishability are best to take a backseat to looks. Not that it doesnt look great, I think you know what I mean. Im going to replace the front carpet in my Bass Boat with that heavy foam that you stand on when you work on concrete all day. I allready tested it to see if it would act like a sponge and the type I have doesnt. I think it will make standing and fishing all day a lot more pleasant. I took a peice big enough to stand on with me on my last excursion and it felt wonderfull. Being a guide now, its a working mans boat so I want to be comfortable.

thanks bassin'fever, i tried a peice of rubber floor covering before i decided to go with white paint and the only problem i had was the heat. the sun causes it to get very hot to hot to stand bare footed so i decided to scrap that idea and am very pleased with the painted surfaces they do not get even warm in the sun and very easy to clean with a little bleach and water.

Rhino-Liner works great also. There's not much of anything that gets put in a boat that will scratch it.
Insulates also and makes a boat feel "tight/solid".

So how did you do the transom? I've got a 1986 184 DC that needs one. I know the top cap won't come off, sealed at the factory. I was thinking about Seacast but was wondering how I'll get to those little area's where the transom tiedown fittings are.

Here's mine
