I just finished going through the same thing with mine, in my case the forward coil was shredded, the taper bearings for the prop shaft wear eventually, and there begins a little bit of play, when the shaft moves side to side, the clutch also moves, it then comes into contact with the coil and shreds it it only takes a few seconds to happen, be pre warned if it is a coil, it can be an expensive repair, not overly complicated but can be expensive
