What year is my 85hp Force? The serial number is 1997 and the model number is 856x78. <br /><br />It hadn't been idling well but was running good otherwise. Suddenly, after sittng overnight, only two cylinders were firing and when we pulled the plug on the bad cylinder water ran out of it. What are the possible problems? Cracked block? Worn out cylinder wall? Are these high maintenance engines? Is it time to switch to a Yamaha?<br />
