Are you sure you dont have room for a conversion kit,I made mine fit.I made a few brackets .I do have the volt regulator if that is your problem.

Hulksterups how much do want for the regulator? I think it could be the problem but I am not quite sure.

Just a thought, have you checked the cells in the battery to be sure there is not a bad cell. Will the battery delivery 12V or is it down keeping the Alt. working and when aux. power is used engine runs bad.

Battery is new and the second one this happend with. But thanks for the input.

I dont know what do they get for a used regulator?

Chris you said that the voltage dropped to 3.5 volts at the coil when you used the blower etc. Did you check the voltage at the battery at the same time? If the voltage stays normal at the battery for your boat, then I suspect that you have a bad connection somewhere. If you have a wiring diagram you can easily find where by checking at each connection point between the battery and the coil. Did you add something into your electrical system? Also one more thing, check the connection on your wiring harness plug, I have seen a few times where the connection can become bad there. Undo the clamp look at both ends for any signs or corrosion etc. Make sure both ends are pushed together tightly and tighten up the clamp.
