I have a 85 Mariner 75 HP that turns over great but does not start. If i use a little sprits of starting fluid it will start and run great but if it sits for a little while it will not start again. Does anyone know what could be the cause?
If it's a 2 stroke I would not shoot starter fluid in the carbs.
So many things it could be but you could unhook the fuel pump hose and crank it to see if any fuel is coming out. Cover the hose with a towel.
