85 horse FORCE motor wont fire on 3rd cylinder

I have this motor and I put new coils plugs in it and num 3 cylinder wont fire It has good compression any suggestions

Model number or year please. They used different ignition systems over the years.

the model number is 856X7b and it is a 1987 motor

Blue components? Prestolite ignition. There are two CD boxes powering 3 coils. One of those CD's has an unused circuit. You might try changing to the unused side. The coil leads are orange or red. Whichever is used, switch to the other. You'll also have to change the trigger leads on the terminal strip. I can't help with those colors, but it'll be the two unused wires.

But first, check for broken wires at the terminal strip. Those tiny little wires like to break right at the fork connector from vibration. The insulation stays intact, but the wire inside breaks. Give a gentle tug and see if any let go.
