85 Evinrude Trim Problem

I have a 1977 85 Evinrude and I just pulled it out of storage. Trim worked fine this afternoon to put transom saver on both up and down. I changed the battery, trimed it up to take the lock off and can't get it down or to move at all. Motor sounds good. Not leaking fluid. Is it possible I trimmed it up so far it activated some lock I can't find? If it is a fluid/air in line problem then I think I will have to take it in. Want to avoid that at all cost. Any help would be much appreciated!

Is there a special tool to pull the plug out. It looks like it take a huge flathead.

Just loosen the 'RELEASE' screw on stb side 1/2 turn and let is sink down a little. Then tighten and try again.

See if your engine has a factory lock to keep the engine in the up position when trailering. There should be a black lever on the port side of the engine. At the top of the midsection. The lever should have a black plastic knob on it.
