That is correct, 40 MPH is about 4500~5500 RPM on the motor depending on the boat size, prop size, load and trim. So is the motor idling smoothly now? Accelerates smoothly? WOT smoothly?
It ideled fine yesterday, I think I may have it set a bit fast. Trying to find a tach to help set it properly. Throttle is pretty stiff need to see if I can lube it up.
