84 black max 150 water pump impeller

Where is the impeller on the 150? And how much is involved in changing it? Thanks to help from folks on here I got it runnin but now I'm not pumping any water.

Impeller is located in waterpump,which is inside the lower unit.Its a pretty easy job,provided you have the manual.The hardest part for a "newbie"is reinstalling the lower unit correctly once youre done.Again,its not hard,but if you have doubts,take it to someone and watch them do it.You should never have to take it anywhere again.BTW,impeller every two yrs(minimum) and waterpump rebuild/replace every four yrs(minimum).Gotta keep water flowing,ALWAYS!

im getting ready to do a water pump change on my 84 black max 150... ive bought a seloc owners manual...which has helped me alot ...and i went to youtube.com and watched a few different things and they show you how to do the whole job... and also read the comments at the bottem of the video page.... that helped me link everything that i didnt know about the job ..

I have not done the change yet but i think i know everything to do it and ive never worked on an outboard ..except for a tune up...

one thing i might add is... if you buy an owners manual to get a mercury one... everyone says there better... i do not like the seloc one i have ...
