Tearing up the floor in my capri and the foam under the floor is waterlogged. Will this dry or should I replace it. Also, the "glass" is cracked from bolt to bolt on the transom where the outboard mounts on the inside of boat. Do I need to replace the transom? Pushing and pulling on motor offers no flexing that I can see.

foam will not dry out. replace, investigate more on the transom. drill some small holes from inside, around mounting bolts, and drain plug, if you get dry flaky saw dust it is probably ok. if you get wet saw dust that sticks together, you have another project. which you probably do. if lucky seal the holes with 3m 4200 or 3m5200.

After reading some more postings here I figured it was going to be a replacement job. Thanks for the advice. I am going to start ripping it out now. I will get to the transom later.
Thanks again.
