I was having problems with gas line losing prime. Engine would crank, would run as long as pumped the bulb. Fuel filter would leak when pumped. I replaced o ring in fuel filter, no leak but now engine will not start. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I would start by replacing ALL the fuel lines along with the primer bulb. Use only SS hose clamps. Try using a diffrent fuel tank and see if the fuel is bad or the pickup is pluged. If that dose not get the motor started then you will have to rebuild the carbs and fuel pump as dirt might be pluging the carbs or the pump diafram is bad. JMO

Hose, bulb and gas new. Just paid 600.00 to have carbs rebuilt. How hard is it to rebuild gas pump?

The fuel pump is not that hard to rebuild. A OM service manual has a section that has steps on how to do it best. A manual can be bought at several sites on the net or at a dealer, and is the best money spent, when one needs to have a motor worked on. You will have a better understanding of how the motor works and just what it takes to fis and maintain the motor.
