82 Mercury 40 HP Manual

I cant seem to find the manual for my motor, I know someone here seems to have them all.

Ive got a water leak around the spark plugs i need to get after.

82 Merc 40 twin

That same site has manuals for a lot of motors and you can find one there for the 4 cylinder 40 also. Be very careful not to brake any of the bolts as it will an can destroy the block. If they do not come out fairly easy you might have to heat them and use a good penetrant spray along with tapping them with a hammer to get them out. JMO

That appears to be a much newer motor, is it still the same manual?

It should give you a good idea as to what has to be done to get the repair done on your motor. If you click on the Back To Library in the upper right hand corner it will take you back to all the Merc manuals where you move the slider button under them to see the rest of the manuals. If Gerry on here has one, Iam sure he will help out.
