The motor will start, run, and go in gear in the driveway, but when I bring it to the lake and put it in gear it will die out. It will not run under a load.


I have replaced: 1 switchbox, rectifier, waterjacket gasket, did a compression and leak down test, spark test, all seem fine, replaced waterpump, and checked fuel pump (seems fine). Repaired middle carbs float and needle valve othe cabs seem fine.

ANY HELP OR IDEAS ARE WELCOME (PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!)

If compression and spark are good, perhaps carb idle mixture is set too lean. Put boat in water, warm engine and in gear test motor. Richen up top carb 1/8 turn and test. Follow with mid carb and then bottom carb, testing after each adjustment.
