Hey,

Just bought an old trihull boat to reuse as a floating duck blind. The boat has an old 80hp johnson super seahorse on it. From what I can gather it is most likely a 1967 model but cannot identify that for sure. I found a number on the top of the cylinder, it is J2690574. I cant find anything to tell me what that number means. Any help would be appreciated. Also would like to get an idea of its worth. I was able to get it to turn over, but not fire. It must be an ignition problem, as I have no spark when I pulled the plug. I also believe it is an electric shift motor, but am not sure. There is no obvious mechanical linkage.
