79' Merc 700, Doesn't run!

Hey folks, I just bought a 79' Silverline with a Merc 700 on it. The story is that they were out cruisin' and the motor just quit. Has anyone heard of this, and if so, what was your outcome? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Go to the Engine FAQs Forum and do "Outboard won't start".
