Hey everyone, thought I would split my thousand questions up so they don't get lost in one jumbled thread lol. I have 79 Grady White Chesapeake, with a Merc 470 that I have been working on. Like I said in my other thread I'm new to boats so a lot of things look very alien to me, and its hard to replace parts if you dont know what they are lol. I've got the engine running, now I'm moving on to getting the gauges and just about everything else working properly. There is some sort of sensor I'm assuming it used to be attached to the block. Looks like it had a cover over it at one time but doesn't now, any ideas what this is? And any links to a repair manual for my engine? Thanks in advance!!

Might be a muffler bearing, that connects to a fee-fee rod, you may need a pipe strecher to make it longer. Sorry, had to. I dont have a clue, pictures would help here. Is it connected to a gage?

This is certainly a case where pictures are necessary, unless it's the flux capacitor, in which case you've got a problem.

Is there a wire(s) attached, if so what color? Is it black plastic, round about 2 1/2 inches? A photo would be nice.

That's the wrong manual Terry, #3 is the one he needs, and I gave him a link to it and the drive manual in one of his other threads on the trim pump.
