Ok this motor is on, you guessed it my Chrysler 26. We were out last Sunday and it was getting dark, no wind so I thought we should get in a little quicker I reached into the controls box to nudge up the throttle. I bumped the aligator clip that holds the wire from the solar panel to the battery off of the battery, and the motor shut off. I mean it didn't sputter and quit it shut off right now. Still turns fine on the starter but no life at all. Tried gas even ether right into the carb, nothing. The boats coming out of the water this weekend so I don't need it fixed asap but did the spark control fry? and if so why?
Thanks

Did it shut off the instant you knocked off the solar charging system?

Yes, the exact moment the clip came off the motor quit. There is a diode in the wire from the panel to prevent power from back feeding and draining the battery. I wondered if that could have caused a surge large enough to damage something?
