'79 70hp Evinrude Water Pump Assembly - How To?

Need assistance and advice on how to reassemble my water pump. I forgot which way the impellor is to be installed as well as the direction the key is to be placed. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.<br /><br />Ed W.

The wedge (key) will only go into the impeller one way. The impeller always turns clockwise (looking down from the top). <br /><br />Good luck!
