Ok first of all I have a lot of background. I worked at a Kawasaki Yamaha motorcycle dealership for 14 years and have been turning wrenches for a living for over 40 years. I recently bought a boat with a 235 evinrude. I have been through the carbs twice , replace the timing base and stator, rectifier and power packs, and regulator. Verified my timing marks at tdc drained and replaced all of the fuel lines and fuel filter replaced starter , coils and spark plugs and timing base and stator. I have many hours in this engine and can’t seem to get it right. It has right at 100 psi on all cylinders. i had it starting and running last week but something has happened and I can’t get it started now. Fresh gas , new plugs , link and synch a number of times. Ran new wire for kill switch new ignition switch . I’m missing something . Have I introduced a problem into the engine . oh and I have installed 2 new fuel pumps and a fuel pressure gauge. Running about 4 psi. I feel like it’s something in the link and sync area. How do you start say if someone boomer rigged an the linkages before. How do you start from scratch . Oh and spark on all cyl jumps at least 7/16 inch. What am I missing guess tomorrow I’ll check with timing light while cranking also. at one time the push to choke
