I got a '78 Lund Mr.Pike; 16'; '77 35 Evenrude. The guy I bought it from used it for his duck boat, and now it is my fishing/bum around boat on Island Lake here in the frosty northland of Minnesota. I've had it for almost a year and spent a good deal of time on it this past summer. Everything is pretty good thus far, minus the head gasket I blew (not that big of a deal).

So, to the point. There are a few things I want to do before next spring hits, well, here's some of the stuff I've got in mind:
-put platform in bow
-pedistal seats (3)
-relocate batts
-stereo
-install depth finder
-windshield & cup holders
-possible steering upgrade
-possible live well
-name for sure
...Pretty much the comforts of boating I don't really have right now. The thing is that some of the stuff I'll need help figuring out, like proper way to wire power to depth finder and stereo so as to not "f" up the new batt I got last summer, stuff like that. I think it's going to be fun, and shure could use your help &/or ideas. If someone could let me know how to post up some pictures I'd be glad to show you what I'm working with. Thanks, and let me know if anything comes to mind.

Welcome to iboats. This probably would be best answered in the restoration section. Look around and you will see many completed projects and great ideas.

Re: '78 Mr.Pike Project

You found the right place.

This forum is filled with info on anything you need to know about boats and some great people who will point you in the right direction if they don't know.

Do some searches you'll probably find most of your questions have a number of threads about them.

When you get to posting questions try to give as much info as you think could be needed or be prepared for some attitude, but remember that's not everyone on here.

Show off some pics of your project.
:)
