Hello, I'm trying to remove the lower unit, but am having issues getting it to break free at the front. I've removed the cover, and removed the lower screw on the gear shift. My water intakes aren't removable that I can see. What am I missing?
Four bolts , two on each side, and a nut on the front are all that holds the lower unit on, and the shift rod connector.
Take a look at the parts breakdown below. :: iShopMarine.com ::
Is the nut off of the stud in the front of the g/c ?? If it is that stud could have corrosion around it. Or the worst case, the d/s splines could be stuck in the c/s splines.
