78 25hp dies like key was turned off

I have had this motor for just over a year now with no trouble and at the beginning of summer I was out and it just cut off as if i turned of the key....attempts to run after this happens(pops once then nothing) but will not start unless it cools off...I have rebuilt the carb and had to put a different foot on it after i got it and had zero issues until this even now the motor runs great fires right up idles planes out with no hesitation and will cruse just fine at any rpm.....BUT! after about 11-13 minutes it just dies.....someone mentioned condenser....looking for suggestions before pulling the flywheel...

I should add that yesterday replaced the head gasket thermostat and head cover gasket thinking maybe one was the problem although these were in need especially the stat still no chance accept the water from the tell tail changes temp now

With out any proper testing, I would guess you have a power pack going bad.

OK then i will replace it with a known good pack and see if there is any change...i have tested the ignition so far but have been somewhat overwhelmed by the multiple engine/year test procedures in my Manuel i have a donor that is missing the lower unit and carb that ran when i took it apart...maybe i will get lucky.........thanks boobie
