75 mercury

hello everyone this is my first time. I have a 1975 85 hp mercury. It seems to run just fine but there is a small hole just above the top spark plug that water comes out of. Im not sure but is this normal and if not what do i need to do to repair this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like the gasket on the water jacket cover is leaking, it won't hurt anything but can be repaired by changing the gasket or in some cases with a sealant. If you decide to change the gasket use care as the bolts are prone to breaking.
