I have a 1978 75 HP Johnson Stinger outboard. We "tested" the motor with a garden hose before we put it in the water, The first day out it idled fine, had to pull it out to replace steering cables, now it won't start without starter fluid and won't idle long enough to put it into gear. I noticed it was leaking a little fuel around the connection to the motor. It has a recent fuel pump, probably less than 10 hours on it. Any suggestions?
