It is NOT a shear pin.----It is a steel drive pin.------The factory props on these are NOT one piece and solid !!----There is a rubber drive " slip clutch " in them.

Pic1, oil in lower

Pic2, double ground wires

Pic 3&4, shows position of drive to bottom of boat. Trimmed as low as it goes.

Both coils ohm out at 5.7
I know all the connections are clean and good. didnt check voltage today.

Yesterday Was test day. I am packing to take son to a scout camping trip for a week. Not sure how much investigating I can get done before I go. When I get back I will go thru as much as I can and then I will pull prop and look real close then mark and do a second test.

Looks good, the only thing left to check is the propeller, and voltage to the drive on your next time in the water.

So bought a new (refurb) prop and it moved the problem from 2100 rpm to 3200 rpm. I did paint mark the prop before putting in water and the mark is askew. Possible new prop is junk also considering the different failure rpm?

well...... that's great news.

It sounds like you just have a couple of bad props and everything else is in order. Send that refurb back and request another.
