Re: '73 25hp Evinrude Plugs

Hey Nathan...how goes it?

Books says a Champion J4C set at .030 for yer mixmaster.

Took another look. I looked at a 72' first time around. The spark plug changed in 73' to a UJ4J from a J4C and I can't get a cross on it although it's probably the same. I'll check it tomorrow on the puter down at the shop and give ya another shout.

Nathan..

Bombardier P&A book says that Champion J4C is the plug. They also list the alternative plugs as, QL77J4C, QL16V and QL78V. The QL16V is a surface gap plug and runs hotter than the others. QL16V's can be used if you do a lot of trolling and run the engine at idle for extended periods of time. For normal use, stick with a gap type plug. The gaps are set to .030.

Hope we have helped.
