I'm a newbie to the whole forum thing but I am at my wits end and not sure where to go now. I have a 1972 mercury 1150 tower of power that has been running rough, so this season i thought I would put new plugs and wires on it and rebuild the carbs as they have been leaking a lot of fuel out. After doing all that I can't get it started. I have spark in all cylinders, about 125psi compression in all cylinders, but after cranking for awhile didn't seem to be getting fuel into the cylinder. Plugs where not even wet at all, couldn't even smell fuel on them. The carbs on the other hand had fuel dripping out the backs of them. So I pulled a carb back off and checked it out everything seemed fine and when turned over the reeds seemed to be opening and closing in there. I squirted a bit off fuel in the reeds before I put the carb back on. Then when the carb was back on I had a buddy squirt a bit of fuel into it while I turned it over. Low and behold it fired up and idled away. The next morning it wouldn't start again which lead me here. It seems to have lots off fuel getting into the carbs but not able to suck it into the cylinders. It has me baffled and any info or tips would be greatly appreciated, it looks like I have pretty while missed this season but I really don't want to put it away broken and miss another! Thanks Mike
